I’ve recently become very passionate in the area of maternal and child health. It’s because of this passion that I’ve realized how important it is for policy makers to be informed and, as a result, to take action.
Save the Children says, “Last year, more than 7 million children died before they could see their fifth birthday. They are dying from preventable and treatable causes such as malnutrition, diarrhea and pneumonia. This is unacceptable. Basic nutrition and hygiene, vaccines, medicine, and access to frontline health workers who are trained to diagnose and treat these threats are the keys to child survival. Please call on world leaders to make a commitment to end preventable child deaths.”
